Finding the Four Leaf Clover

Theresa (whom I do not know) wrote a comment to my previous post that brought mist to my eyes, and will be worth reading for anyone seeking their genius and purpose.
This is why I do what I do.

I felt like a 7 year old when I saw this picture pop up on my screen. Delightful. Now I am feeling more like 16 - this genius stuff rocks. I can feel the eyes of my Irish ancestors smiling. Great fun.

Theresa — That made me wish I had arranged a few bars of Danny Boy to play when the page opens. No…not Danny Boy…too sad. How about this…
Sure, ’tis like the morn in Spring.

Dick, I am so happy for you and proud of your work.
This may sound a bit strange, but I am as proud of you as if I had written your book myself— which of course I take absolutely no credit for. Can’t quite explain it, but I have this incredible excitement about what you are doing, and about the gift you are giving to people, especially because I am quite sure you are only hearing from a small fraction of those who are benefiting: As we all know, it takes a lot of bravery to comment like this, especially about something so personally profound and intimate.
My own commenting has been sparse lately, however I have been reading and following your work’s progress very closely, celebrating each new link you add to that Book Buzz column of yours. Ho‘omaika‘i‘ana Dick, congratulations, and Ho‘ohana. Your aloha is shining an incredibly bright light on the hope and optimism contained in us all.
Me ke aloha, Rosa

Dick and Rosa,
I didn’t leave my full name on that comment because I felt ambivalent about it turning up on the top of a google search of my name where it would look out of context. Just to confirm that I am a real person here is a link to my flickr photostream

I just started trying to free up some space on my hard drive by moving my library there, it’s not very organized looking yet. I haven’t gotten onto purpose yet but I know what it’s not. Lucky for me that I never showed a talent for finding and aquiring money - I might have believed it and missed the irony. That explains the empty feelings reported by people with more money than they know what to do with, something that’s hard to sympathize with…

I wouldn’t worry, Devi. My guess is that it is all good. You might want to buy a lottery ticket.

I have had a knack for finding four leaf clovers for quite some time now. I cannot say for sure that they have brought me good luck, as I have always been rather fortunate and blessed. Today, while looking for a four leaf clover, I found my first five leaf clover. How exciting! It seems, from people I have spoken to, that you either find four leaf clovers often, or never at all. I wonder why that is?? Are we a special few?
