Is my genius on purpose? (more…)

Hello Dick, i am in a hurry today (its late in the night!) so i am dropping only a few comments : Yours is one of the most engaging blogs i am reading nowadays, though i have a lot of catching up to do with the contents. One important thing from my own experience - i have always found that my heart tells me the right thing to do without failure and it is so much easier to follow it. i was doing this when i was a child, but i l moved away from it in-between, now i have discovered it again.
I will post more comments later.

Vijaya - I’m looking forward to hearing more from you, and thanks for the kind words about the blog.
All around me, it seems, is a debate about following mind or following heart. While I am attracted myself to the notion of “following the heart”, I have also seen as much damage done by people who are following one as those following the other. I am a big fan of Eugene Gendlin’s little book, Focusing, in which he outlines a way of bringing mind and heart together. I suspect that those who consistently find guidance for “the right thing to do” are in fact bringing mind and heart together without realizing it.
Does this ring true for you?

I’m happy to say my answer to this question is yes, not in general terms, but job lets me help specific people every day.
We have a head and a heart, mind and emotions, for a reason. Neither one will work properly alone.

frankly, i had not thought about this earlier. Now thinking about it, looks like i indeed bring them both together. but i am more aware now, for a problem i am dealing with currently, let me see how this works
