4:30 AM
Disclosures about whatever happens to be my inner turmoil of the moment often arrive, unmistakable, at or about 4:30 AM.
Is this the time of day when the universe resends messages it has been trying, without success, to deliver? Is this the time of day when the small voice I have not been heeding finally shouts at me?

“The morning breeze
has secrets to tell you.
Do not go back to sleep.”

That’s a particular favorite of mine as well Terrence. I’d forgotten it. Thanks for the reminder! I’d always read it as an admonition to remain conscious once awakened — do not go back to sleep.

OMG!!
I have been waking up between 3:30 and 4:15 a lot lately…and sometimes it’s like I’m WIDE awake. I definitely need to get a mini-recorder and keep it near the bed!
I love the poem Terrance refers to above. Good stuff.
I also have heard that’s the “angel hour” and we should NOT be going back to sleep, but listening even closer for our messages.
It’s comfoting knowing someone else is up at that hour!

Yes Kammie — WIDE awake — although I never heard it called the “angel hour.” And…now that I think about it, I have had the same experience while living in 3 different time zones! For me, it is almost always between 4:15 and 4:45.
I used to have a notepad holder that lit up when you took the pen out of it. Maybe I ought to get another one of those things.

Oh… a lighted notepad. How perfect for those early morning hours of inspiration! In addition to waking up around 4:30ish, I also tend to wake up at times when all the numbers are the same. 3:33, 4:44, etc. Someone told me that when this happens it is a good time to tap into the flow of intention. So I state my intentions at those times.

My mum told me how she often woke up at 4:44 and guess what - I woke this morning from a nightmare at 4:43. Today is the anniversary of her father’s death and also her grandson was born on this date four year’s ago. I was totally spooked.

Spooky it is indeed Mark. I am developing respect for spookiness.
