This notion of the path, a beautiful metaphor that is taken constantly for granted. And so you add one more word, “trustworthy,” which deliberately changes the meaning, so that it is neither the questions nor the answers that actually hold us, but the trust we place in the very way we are going through these woods. I can let go then of having to pin my hopes on asking the best question or getting the right answer; something deeper carries me forward, and I am sure to find my home.

Thanks Dan. “Path” is a beautiful metaphor (as you say) that I sometimes shy away from because it is used so often and in so many different ways that it borders on sounding trite. But, sounding trite or not, it is correct. So I added “trustworthy” as you noted.
Lurking in some corner of my mind is a description of the characteristics of a trustworthy path. Who wrote it? Sam Keen maybe. Or Robert Bly. Maybe Chopra or Moore. I guess I’m now doomed to a bit of research unless someone out there in blogland can point me right to it.
