Why pi?
Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007Today’s Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Marc Umile of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, was certified as the North American record-holder for memorizing decimal place digits of the mathematical constant pi. He memorized 12,887 digits. It took him 3 hours and 40 minutes to recite them.
